The Outdoor Program

Rock Climbing

Celebrating its mental and physical rewards, rock climbing is an exciting part of the Adventure and Leadership Programs at Emory and Henry College.

The Program follows the national standard for climbing procedures and safety as defined by the American Mountain Guide Association., and whether you are a first time climber or an experienced lead climber, the Outdoor Program can facilitate your inclination for rock.

The Outdoor Program boasts a well-trained, experienced staff and an impressive facility for clinical and training opportunities. We’ll provide you with the best gear and put you on the three-sided 40 ft. tall climbing tower or indoor climbing crag. We’ll take you to beautiful, natural climbing areas to boulder, free climb on top rope, sport climb, or when ready, lead traditional climbing routes. Regularly, the Program travels to engage some of the most celebrated climbing areas on the east coast, including Red River Gorge, Kentucky; Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; and Seneca Rocks, West Virginia.

In the Emory & Henry Outdoor Program you can get your climb on!
