Upcoming Expedition

The students participating in the E&H Outdoor Leadership Program form an expedition team every spring.

The team chooses a destination, plans and then leads the annual Spring Break Expedition. The two umbrella objectives for the Expedition are for the members of the expedition team to share the expedition planning process and to cultivate the group dynamic through effective team building.. Both objectives require a goal-oriented process and a lot of hard work, but in the end can produce an experience that is the most rewarding kind of adventure fun.

The Spring Break Expedition Team of 2006 paddled for four days on the Rio Grande in Big Bend National Park and then rock climbed and bouldered in Enchanted Rock State Park near San Antonio, Texas for two days. View photo gallery.

In 2007 the expedition team paddled for four days on the Buffalo National River and back packed for two days in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. View photo gallery.

The Outdoor Leadership Program is looking forward to the Expedition of 2008 on the coastal waters of Florida.
