The 40ft by 60ft Emory & Henry Outdoor Program Building is more than a storage and trip staging facility.
The Outdoor Program Building is a home, a place for the outdoor culture to grow. During the construction of the facility, students, faculty, and staff regularly participated in the construction of the center, hammering, drilling, painting, and shaping a vital part of E&H, and ongoing projects and maintenance are completed in the same familial way.
As you visit the Outdoor Program Building, you may be asked to join in a hack circle or even a fun experiment with the slack line. Fun is allowed; it’s a staple in the E&H outdoor adventure community.
Stop by for a visit and see the mural, climb on the indoor bouldering crag, inspect the Program’s fleet of kayaks, or just relax in a hammock and enjoy some outdoor or environmental literature.
